Officially the port opened as one of the first class international trade ports under the Korea Harbor Law, and Pyeongtaek Branch of Incheon Regional Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Office opened
Constructed two berths of Songak Wharf with a capacity of 30,000 DWT class each and one berth with a capacity of 50,000 DWT
Constructed one berth of Kodae(Dongbu Steel) Wharf with a capacity of 5,000 DWT class
Constructed four berths of East Wharf with a capacity of 30,000 DWT class each and total 960 meters in length
Constructed two berths of West Wharf with a capacity of 30,000 DWT class and total 480 meters in length
Upgraded to Pyeongtaek Regional Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Office
Constructed two berths of International Passenger Terminal with a capacity of 26,000 DWT class each
Constructed one more berth of East Wharf with a capacity of 30,000 DWT class container vessel
